Did you know my healthy granola is homemade by my mum using my grandma’s family recipe? This is what truly sets my bowls apart from any others 💛
Lizzie’s Granola is always made in small batches so freshness is guaranteed (and is aaalways made with love)!
People love smoothie bowls but often assume they’re secretly full of sugar sweetener or artificial additives – well, not this one! I thought it would be good to share what’s Actually in a Honey & Sunshine Granola Bowl so you can enjoy with the full knowledge & confidence that I have 🫐
Ingredients

Lizzie’s Granola Ingredients:
- Oats
- Pumpkin seeds
- Sunflower seeds
- Chia seeds
- Maple syrup
- Coconut oil
- Cinnamon
And that’s it! Just a simple combination of whole foods tossed for a delicious crunch and slight roasted flavour. Then add some nourishing Alpro dairy-free yogurt and you’ve made yourself the perfect base.
Oats – a wholesome whole grain packed with fiber, including beta-glucan, which helps support heart health and keeps you feeling satisfied for longer. They’re also a great source of slow-release energy to help fuel your day.
Pumpkin seeds – rich in plant-based protein, healthy fats, magnesium, and zinc. They support overall wellness while adding a delicious crunch and a boost of nutrients to every bite.
Sunflower seeds – naturally high in vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect your body’s cells, along with healthy fats and selenium. They add a nutty flavor and nourishing goodness to our granola.
Chia seeds – Tiny but mighty, chia seeds are an excellent source of fiber and provide plant-based omega-3 fats. They help add texture while supporting digestive health and keeping you feeling full.
Maple syrup – Pure maple syrup provides natural sweetness along with small amounts of minerals like manganese and zinc. It gives the granola its delicious caramel-like flavour without using refined white sugar or additives.
Coconut oil – Pure coconut oil helps create the delicious crunch and rich, toasted flavour that makes our homemade granola so satisfying. We love using this traditional ingredient for its simplicity and natural taste.
Cinnamon – A tiny bit is added for flavour and its antioxidant compounds, but don’t worry – it doesn’t taste like an actual cinnamon granola! I’m personally not a fan of this spice at all but it is softened during the roasting process and works so well in combination with everything else.
Toppings
Strawberry – vitamin C and antioxidant rich, strawberries add a naturally sweet burst of hydration & flavour & glow.
Banana – great source of potassium and fibre, providing natural sweetness and slow-release energy.
Raspberry – high in fibre and antioxidants, raspberries bring a delicious tangy flavour while supporting digestive health.
Blueberry – packed with antioxidants, blueberries are a nutritious addition known for supporting overall health.
Walnut – rich in plant-based omega-3 fats, healthy fats, and fibre, making them a nourishing crunchy topping.
Cashew – provide healthy fats, plant-based protein, and essential minerals like magnesium for everyday nourishment.
Milled flax seed – excellent source of fibre and plant-based omega-3s, making it an easy nutritional boost.
Rasin – provide natural energy, fibre, and antioxidants while adding a touch of natural sweetness.
Goji berry – naturally rich in antioxidants and vitamin A (and so tasty), making them a vibrant and nutrient-dense topping.

And pumpkin, sunflower & chia seeds, but you know all about these already ;D Every bowl is fully customisable with your topping choice & quantity entirely up to you. Oh, and don’t forget to add some honey!!
